The police are advising people to be aware of horses in the area of Maughold today (September 11) as an equestrian event is being held.

There will be a number of both adult and child riders traveling on the roads, with signs displayed.

Equestrian safety Isle of Man reminds people that motorists should slow down to at least 15mph and to pass the horse at a wide distance.
