Resurfacing works are due to start on one of the main routes into Douglas this Monday.
The Department of Infrastructure will begin to replace traffic lights and resurface the carriageway between Lord Street and Quine’s Corner, which is expected to take six weeks to complete.
Roads will remain open, however a temporary one-way system will be in place within two weeks of the works commencing.
The area will be managed by traffic lights or members of the department to ensure a safe and steady flow of vehicles.
More information about the changes will be released by the department, which apologises for any inconvieniences caused to road users.
