For any hard-working company, individual, and those in the public and charitable sectors, it’s always good to win an award, especially one awarded by peers in the community.
Aside from the obvious marketing benefits, the win helps raise the local profile of not just the winners, but the nominees, which has supported an active recruitment drive for most in the months following the awards.
It’s now just under a month until the deadline for submissions for this year’s Isle of Man Newspapers Awards for Excellence.
For such a small island, it’s incredible what island-based companies are achieving internationally.
Speaking of their win last year, Kelly Ashe of Pacific Fund Systems said: ’I am delighted to be able to report that Pacific Fund Systems has enjoyed yet another record-breaking year of growth following our awards win, continuing to surpass all expectations having successfully secured an unprecedented number of new clients.
’We’ve been able to achieve this level of success for the same reasons that we won the award, and we are very grateful for the exposure and marketing opportunity the win provided.
’Servicing a global client base and researching a prospective client base that spans every country in the world keeps us very busy. We undertake a number of direct marketing roadshow events which in the last twelve months has taken us to Luxembourg, Jersey, Guernsey, Mauritius, Bahamas, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bermuda, Toronto, and Sydney, and at each of these events we actively promote our business, products, and services - but equally we represent the Isle of Man in all of these locations.
’When we travel, we are proud to be ambassadors of our island home.
’We never tire of extolling the virtues of living and working on our wonderful island which we consider ourselves lucky to call home. We also proudly service a growing number of Isle of Man clients - with some 80% of fund administrators on the Isle of Man currently using our system.’
This year’s Awards for Excellence will take place at the Villa Marina on Thursday, November 14.
Closing date for consideration for this year’s Awards is Friday, September 13. Companies, individuals, and both those in the public and charitable sectors who wish to submit a nomination can do so by visiting www.excellence-awards.im and downloading the relevant application form.
