A second political member has resigned from the Department of Health and Social Care.

Douglas East MHK Clare Bettison handed in her letter of resignation at the end of last week to the Minister Kate Beecroft, chief executive Malcolm Couch and chief secretary Will Greenhow.

She refused to comment on her reasons for resigning.

She told iomtoday: ’It was an internal decision. I don’t want to say anything.’

Rob Callister resigned as member from the DHSC in March, citing personal reasons and a difference of opinion with the Minister Kate Beecroft.
