A 14-year-old boy is being treated in Liverpool after he was hit by a car.
The incident happened on Friday afternoon at Andreas Airfield.
The boy sustained what the police described as serious injuries and as a result has been flown to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital where his condition remains serious and his treatment is continuing.
Police inquiries to ascertain the circumstances of what occurred are continuing.
The driver of the vehicle has been interviewed.
Andreas Airfield is a privately owned airfield and is not therefore classed as a road or other public place.
Therefore any offences under The Road Traffic Act 1985 are not applicable.
