Noel Edmonds appears to have discovered one of the less glamorous features of Isle of Man life during his latest trip, a leaky roof at B&Q.

The television personality filmed himself inside the Braddan store as rainwater dripped from the ceiling into a collection of buckets on a particularly wet Wednesday on the island.

Four buckets had been positioned to catch the water, with Edmonds appearing more amused than concerned as he filmed the unusual sight for his social media followers.

He said: ‘Breaking news, there’s a leak in B&Q!’

Isle of Man Today has contacted B&Q for comment on the apparent leak.

Edmonds, best known for presenting shows including Noel’s House Party and Deal or No Deal, has become an increasingly familiar face around the island.

The 77-year-old has been documenting his visits on Instagram, where he has more than 139,000 followers, sharing photographs and reflections from locations including Peel Castle, Smeale Beach and Glen Dhoon.

His connection with the Isle of Man grew after he bought a property in Bride, alongside his principal home in New Zealand.

When discussing the move, Edmonds previously praised the island’s ‘massive community spirit’ and said it had become a place he wanted to spend more time.

Since then, he has been spotted at a string of local events and locations, including the Southern Agricultural Show, cafés and community gatherings, and he also opened a garden party in Ramsey.

Earlier this year, Edmonds announced a new wine range produced through his River Haven Vineyard in New Zealand and made exclusively available on the Isle of Man.

His latest post, however, offered a rather different taste of island life, and one which involved considerably more water than the wine bottles.
