Travel firm Mann Link Travel has appointed Shona Sultana as its new chief financial officer.

Shona, who comes from a travel background, has been appointed to the board for Mann Link Travel and Online Regional Travel Group.

She has worked for the business over the past 13 years, developing from purchase ledger clerk and accounts manager to group finance manager and now chief financial officer.

The promotion follows a successful audit of the group and Shona’s remit will be to focus on the strategic growth of the business.

Mannlink chairman Brian Kelly said: ’We are thrilled to appoint Shona to the board as she brings with her tactical strength, travel experience and financial expertise that is a rare combination to find.’

Shona said: ’Having a travel background has enabled me to integrate into the business easily and look for commercial opportunities to grow its diverse range of leisure, online and business travel brands.

Formed in 1982, Mann Link Travel is celebrating 35 years in business this summer.

Part of the Online Regional Travel Group, the business has a growing portfolio of brands which has expanded significantly over the past 18 months with a diverse range of businesses under its belt.

Its online brands include escapetherock.im, Manxflights.com, manxferries.com, justtheflight.co.uk and visitiom.co.uk.
