A new head of office has been appointed at an island insurance firm.
Ann Collins is head of office of Rossborough Insurance, a commercial and personal lines broking business based in the Isle of Man and Channel Islands.
With more than 40 years’ experience in insurance broking, Ms Collins joined Rossborough in 2013, after holding senior positions with Aon and Marsh and owning her own insurance brokerage in Cheshire before moving to the Isle of Man in 2003.
A press release from the company reads: ’Over the five years since she joined Rossborough, Ann has developed a versatile and agile corporate risks team able to tailor insurance solutions to the professional risk needs of financial services businesses and the specific risk requirements of larger or more complex companies, helping them to mitigate their distinct exposures.
’This extension of Gallagher’s capabilities in the Isle of Man has complemented its existing strengths in looking after the general insurance needs of local businesses from a broad range of industry and service sectors, as well as private clients and individuals seeking protection of their personal possessions.’
Ms Collins is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and has served in various roles on the council of the Isle of Man Insurance and Financial Services Institute.
She is also a committee member of the Financial Planners and Insurance Brokers Association.
Ms Collins said: ’The Isle of Man is a dynamic market and I’m excited to continue fostering relationships with new and existing clients, strategically moving the business forward within the global broking organisation of Gallagher, our parent company and contributing to Rossborough’s continued success in the Isle of Man.’
James Anderson, the group managing director of Rossborough Insurance, added: ’With Ann’s extensive leadership experience, reputation for developing strategic relationships and insurance talent, she is perfectly placed to lead the Isle of Man’s business in the next stage of its development.’
