A popular business involved in providing home health care is going from strength to strength.
Everyone involved in 1st Care at Home (IOM) Limited, is delighted over a new accolade.
The company has achieved full recognition from a certification body called the Centre for Assessment (CfA) UK by gaining the highly prestigious Customer Service Excellence award.
The owner, directors of 1st Care, Tracey and Juan Hudson said the award is a result of their fantastic hard working and dedicated team of carers who regularly go above and beyond the call of duty when supporting their clients.
Tracey told Business News: ’We’ve come a long way in a relatively brief time and been aided and advised by some fantastic individuals.
’The stringent home care, face-to-face training programme has been pivotal to 1st Care meeting the criteria of the Excellence Award.
’As a team we are all extremely proud of our marvellous achievement after what has been a very busy but rewarding couple of years.
’We are continuing to expand at a rapid but planned pace and we currently offer from one hour a week to 24 hour, seven days a week care services all over the island.’
1st Care’s team of 40 carers receive mandatory, on-going training and care based qualifications from ARC Learning (IOM) Limited.
ARC are an island based dedicated home care training consultancy.
In addition to ARC, Helen Cowley who is pictured presenting the Award to the management team has guided 1st Care since the early days of the business through her invaluable advice as 1st Care’s consultant at the Isle of Man Government Small Business Scheme.
Tracey vowed 1st Care will use the award to continue to offer the best level of care and customer service possible during their future expansion plans. Working with the Centre for Assessment requires 1st Care to provide care within formal, recognised standards of excellence.
Tracey added: ’The challenging work of the last four years, supporting many lovely clients and providing the best possible care has been a joy and it is pleasing that the challenging work provided by the team has been officially applauded.’
Mick Lynch, assessor at the Centre for Assessment, said: ’It was obvious during the Customer Service Excellence assessment that senior management at 1st Care at Home, through their exemplar leadership ensured clients were at the heart of everything that they did and this was certainly evident when speaking to clients and the very dedicated staff team’.
