A new parcel collection point has been installed in Crosby’s new Co-op.
As of yesterday (Monday), the Post Office and Co-op made the shop a ’notice left’ location for customers cased within the area.
This comes after the post office recently extended its network of parcel collection points across the island to ’offer a better service to the island’s community’, according to a statement.
Andy Corrie, the area manager of the Manx Cooperative Society, said: ’This extension of our services will solidify our position as a cornerstone of the local community and further establish ourselves as an integral part of local life.’
There are now 14 parcel collection points around the island.
Simon Kneen, chief executive officer of Isle of Man Post Office, added: ’We are delighted to welcome Co-op Crosby as a new partner in our ongoing efforts to extend parcel collection services across the island.
’By extending our services island-wide and adding more parcel collection points, we are adapting to our customers’ needs and a general change in consumer behaviour, whilst ensuring a quality service throughout our community.’
If a customer wants to collect their items from an alternative location, they can now do so using the Redelivery service.
If the customer provides a mobile number they will be notified as soon as their items are ready to collect.
