Google Developers Group Douglas (GDG Douglas) is bringing Developer Festival (DevFest) 2019 to the Isle of Man.
DevFests are community-led developer events hosted by Google Developer Groups around the globe. GDGs are focused on community building and learning about modern computing technology and applications.
Technical speakers from Google and Canonical are visiting the island for the first time, together with experts from the UK and Europe talking about data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, Android and other cutting edge technology.
The event will include presentations, interactive sessions and workshops and bringing updates on the latest Google and open-source products and how people can use these products in their daily lives.
Never been to a DevFest?
This year’s DevFest aims at facilitating humanity with the technology that will reshape their lives and being more productive. Technical talks and workshops on topics such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, and Android development.
What is GDG Douglas?
GDG Douglas is a local community-run meet up for developers interested in resources and technology from Google Developers.
The annual DevFest, and monthly events, is part of its community-building activities.
GDG Douglas was established in February 2019 has already held six events this year on a range of topics including Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless Computing, Flutter, Databases, and Machine Learning.
DevFest Douglas takes place from November 22 to 23 at The Hubb, Queen Victoria House,Victoria Street, Douglas.
On the Friday it will tajke place from 11 am to 6 pm, and on the Saturday it will be from 8am to 6pm.
