Many UK national papers have not reached the Isle of Man today after protesters blocked printing plants.
Readers of the Daily Mail, the Sun, the Times, the Daily Telegraph and the Financial Times will be disappointed.
Wholesaler GE White said: ’We apologise to our retail customers and readers but this is obviously beyond our control.’
Extinction Rebellion protesters blocked the exit of a the Knowsley printing press in Merseyside, where many papers destined for the Isle of Man are printed.
The group used a van and a boat to disrupt the business at Newprinters, shortly after 10pm on Friday night.
Hanging banners at the site and refusing to move throughout the night, protesters have said they are trying to stop a number of large papers making it to shelves on Saturday morning.
