Simcocks Advocates is sponsoring triathlete, Carrie Wernham, in her European Championship endeavour this summer.
Carrie proved herself in the triathlon circuit during her first full season in 2018, competing locally and in national events. She performed well at the St Neots Triathlon in September, qualifying her for the 2019 Weert ETU Standard Distance Triathlon European Championships later this month, where she will represent Great Britain.
Laura Connelly, who works in probate at Simcocks, alerted the law firm of her niece’s need for funding for her attempt, and Simcocks offered to sponsor Carrie’s flights to and from the Netherlands.
Phil Games, chief executive of Simcocks Advocates, said: ‘It’s a pleasure to assist a local up-and-coming althlete, especially one who gives so much in her day to day life.
‘Carrie is a systems trainer in the island hospitals, and in her spare time – when she isn’t training herself – she is an officer instructor with the Isle of Man Army Cadet Force.
‘We should all have so much energy.
‘I wish her the best of luck in Weert.’
Simcocks is based in Ridgeway Street, Douglas.
