Marks & Spencer has announced it will recruit more than 80 new colleagues to support its Douglas team this festive season.

The new colleagues will join the Strand Street retailer during its busiest period of the year.

The roles are described as ‘fast-moving’ and ‘hands-on’, with the firm saying colleagues will work together to make sure customers get the very best of M&S at its busiest.

Applications are now open, with the first new colleagues joining M&S from October 25. The roles will pay £14.62 per hour, with the high-street giant saying successful applicants will receive the training, tools and support needed to get up to speed quickly.

M&S Douglas store manager Lauren Robinson said: ‘Our brilliant store colleagues are at the heart of M&S and play such an important role in delivering the magic of Christmas for customers and communities right across the Isle of Man.

‘We’re delighted to be creating more than 80 opportunities in our store this year and welcoming new colleagues into our team.
