Nine Old Mutual International employees have achieved ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) qualifications as part of the company’s investment in training and professional development.
Halina Holohan, manager Europe regional servicing team, received an ILM Level 3 certificate in leadership and management.
Amber Ward, skills development manager, and technical coaches Chris Addy, Lesley Jamieson, Patrick Quinney, Lisa Quayle, Caroline Robinson, Cheryl Wade-Jones and Leanne Webb were awarded ILM Level 3 certificates in coaching and mentoring.
Peter Kenny, managing director at Old Mutual International, congratulated them on achieving the qualifications, and thanked Sue Gee from TLC which is Old Mutual International’s training partner.
Peter said: ’Our investment in training and professional development builds confidence as well as skills, and this leads to a more motivated, committed and focused workforce, which means we can deliver a better service for our customers and advisers.’
The training programme for the ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management covers the full range of responsibilities of first-line managers, ensuring leaders can deal with the challenges responsibility brings.
The course covers leadership and motivation; learning and development support; stress management; costs and budgets; change management; project management; and organising and managing resources. The ILM Level 3 certificate in coaching and mentoring ensures leaders are equipped with the skills, knowledge and understanding to provide support for the development of colleagues.
Peter Kenny added: ’Coaching and mentoring are great ways of ensuring the wealth of knowledge and experience gained by leaders is shared effectively across the business.’
