The government’s tourism agency is asking people in the sector for their views.

Visit Isle of Man has launched its 2019 ’How Can We Help Survey’.

It is designed to see how well it interacted with businesses and ask for tips on how to improve the way it works.

Visit Isle of Man works with tourism-related businesses including hotels and guest houses, attractions, event organisers and restaurants.

It also provides training and development opportunities and networking events.

Angela Byrne, the head of Visit Isle of Man, said: ’Our aim is to work with industry to establish the Isle of Man as a quality visitor destination, which relies on the continuous improvement of product quality and service levels as the industry evolves alongside the needs of our prospective visitors. It is our hope that this process will help us provide the best support possible.

’We would also like to remind all industry members to sign up for the monthly trade e-newsletter, which includes key information and details of events and training sessions available.

’It is a constant theme from the survey that tourism providers would like to be kept up to date with the work going on at Visit Isle of Man and this e-newsletter has been developed to manage this, alongside our regular meetings and direct business contact.’

Based on last year’s feedback, the department organised more training, including digital marketing sessions, website workshops and drop in sessions.
