The Isle of Man branch of the newly named The Chartered Governance Institute, held its annual meeting at which a new council was appointed.
The professional organisation was until last month known as the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
Christopher Bolt was elected president of the branch.
He has replaced Christine Clucas who has served as president for four years.
Mr Bolt praised Mrs Clucas for all the hard work she had put into her role.
Julia Featherstone was elected secretary and Francesca Epifani was re-elected as treasurer.
Other council members elected are Juan Moore, Chris Jolly, Terence McDonald and the student representative is Courtney Paradise.
The meeting was well attended and the retiring national chief executive, Simon Osborne, who had travelled to the island to attend the meeting, spoke on what was titled ’Next Generation in Governance’.
He spoke on the importance of organisations keeping up to date with current trends and ensuring that they have procedures and controls in place which are capable of addressing tomorrow’s challenges.
