Guests from across the island’s business community attended the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce Christmas lunch.

Chamber director, Business Isle of Man board member, and executive coach Carol Glover was the main speaker.

Rebecca George, Chamber’s chief executive, thanked guests for attending and supporting the island’s biggest business network, and expressed gratitude to the staff at Woodbourne House for their hospitality.

Chamber president Chris Allen echoed her comments and gave a summary of Chamber’s achievements during 2018. Business News in this week’s Examiner included a page devoted to Mr Allen listing some of the highlights from the organisation’s busy and productive year

Jessica Kitchin from the Chamber of Commerce spoke about the soon-to-be launched concierge service.

The lunch was held at Woodbourne House, Douglas, which has ’Chronicles of Narnia’ themed decorations for the festive season.

A raffle raised funds for Junior Achievement Isle of Man. The final sum collected had not been confirmed at the time of writing.

Guests included Enterprise minister Laurence Skelly MHK; Mark Lewin, chief executive of the Department for Enterprise; Michael Crowe, chief executive of Finance Isle of Man who is also a past president of Chamber; Simon Scott, Isle of Man country Head at Barclays; Kurt Roosen and John Shimmin from Inspiriom, the sponsors of the Christmas lunch.
