BBC journalist, award-winning documentary maker and best-selling author Simon Reeve has been named as special guest speaker at the ISLEXPO business conference.
Simon, best known for his TV travel documentaries following his journeys around the Equator and the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, is to give a talk at the gala dinner on Thursday, May 25.
He will also make an informal appearance at the conference that afternoon when he will talk about his career and visions for the planet.
Simon will recount the highlights of his most challenging adventures, in addition to covering topics such as conservation, responsible tourism and the value of the great outdoors.
His appearance at ISLEXPO also celebrates the Isle of Man’s landmark recognition by the world heritage body UNESCO as a biosphere reserve.
ISLEXPO, billed as a celebration of the island’s diverse business community, takes place at the Villa Marina on May 24 and 25 and is hosted by the Department of Economic Development.
