The owners of Tynwald Mills have confirmed the shopping centre is closed until further notice.

Tynwald Mills is the latest in a long line of retailers to confirm they are temporarily closing due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The island currently has 23 confirmed cases.

A statement said: ’It’s with a heavy heart that we close the store tonight until further notice.

’As the situation with Covid-19 continues to develop, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our colleagues and customers for their loyalty and support during this challenging and uncertain time.

’Your wellbeing continues to be our absolute priority and we have closely been monitoring government advice and guidelines, specifically the decision to advice against all nonessential retail and travel.
