Hundreds packed a top London venue to see the debut performance of a group featuring two Manx musicians.

Call Me Amour played their first live concert at the Assembly Rooms in Camden last week.

The electro-rock group, featuring guitarist and singer Geoff Murphy, from Douglas and lead singer Harry Radford, along with UK rhythm section drummer Danny Hall and bassist Brian Hill, played a set of original songs to a capacity crowd, who gave the new and relatively-unknown group a loud and vocal reception.

Geoff said that the group were thrilled with the reaction they got from the crowd, and that they are planning more shows in the future.

’We’d been looking forward to this gig for a while and it didn’t disappoint,’ said Geoff.

’A packed Camden Assembly with some familiar faces, fans and industry folk made it a great gig.’

The group also released their second single on the day of the gig.

’Drop The Knife’ was released as a follow-up to debut single ’Tourniquet’, which was released in November last year.

’"Tourniquet" was received very well, said Geoff.

’We’re back in the studio in March to record some new tracks and are planning another single release very soon, with an EP being out later in the year.

’We also have a tour supporting a very big name coming up which will be huge for us so fingers crossed that gets sorted in the next few weeks.’
