Hope Home Care (HHC) has presented Willaston Primary School with a new bench that was made by a local disability workshop.
The bench is designed to be a ’friendship bench’ and was made by Manx Workshops for the Disabled.
Rose Burton, head teacher of Willaston School, said: ’It’s for children who perhaps don’t always have someone to play with or just as an easy meeting point for friends at break time.
’It’s just such a lovely thing for them to do.’
Carol Walmsley of HHC said: ’The idea came from knowing a boy who was being bullied at school and I’d heard of these benches and his school and mum thought it was a great idea.
’It’s nice for the charity to be able to give something to young people too.’
