Children’s charity A Little Piece of Hope has held its annual ’Heroes of Mann’ awards ceremony at the Villa Marina.

The awards are designed to ’celebrate "children’s champions" on the island, recognise those who go above and beyond for our community, and reward individuals for their bravery and achievements’.

The night included performances by guitarist Callum Brew and eight-year old Poppy Mcgowan from Victoria Road Primary School - who sang ’Never Enough’ in front of an audience of over 140 people.

More entertainment was provided by Giles the Magician, and also in attendance was Chief Minister Alfred Cannan and his wife Bella.

’After hearing their amazing stories [of the winners] there wasn’t a dry eye in the building,’ said trustee Nicola Walton, who also thanked Crebbinsdale Media for covering the event.
