Paul Jordan wrapped up the Classic TT’s Historic Junior race honours for the second successive year on Saturday teatime.

Jordan claimed a dominant victory to win on the Davies Motorsport Honda CB350 K4 by more than a minute and a half on corrected time from runner-up Dominic Herbertson.

Third went to 23-time TT winner John McGuinness who was 22.795s down on Herbertson with the top three all on similar Hondas.

The race was a typical war of attrition with early leader Dean Harrison among the numerous retirements in the two-lap race that also included Mike Browne and Mikey Evans.

Browne was forced to pull in with a puncture when leading after setting an opening lap record of 105.322mph (21 minutes 29.640 seconds).

Sulby’s Dan Sayle finished just off the podium in fourth with Will Loder the first single-cylinder machine home in fifth on his Greeves Oulton.

TT sidecar ace Ben Birchall came home 11th of the 19 finishers on his first Mountain Course race as a solo competitor.

Roads close on Sunday at 12.45pm, with the three-lap Formula One Classic TT at 1.30pm, followed by the Lightweight and Ultra-Lightweight race at 3.30pm.

The races have been moved forward by organisers with the weather forecast for the end of the week not looking good.
