Strong winds will cause rough waves to crash on to some of the island’s promenades and coastal roads at high tide this morning (Wednesday).
Shore Road (Rushen) and Gansey, Port St Mary, Castletown promenade, the central to northern end of Douglas promenades, Laxey promenade and possibly parts of Ramsey promenade will be affected.
The Met Office says there’s also a slight risk of minor flooding in the lowest-lying inner harbours such as at The Tongue, in Douglas.
High tide is at 11.50am.
The strong south or southwest winds will ease a little later.
It will be a cloudy and dull day with a few outbreaks of rain and drizzle, although these will mostly die out later in the afternoon. Mist and fog will affect the high ground. Maximum temperature 11 Celsius.
