The doors of the Colby Glen pub will open up again next Wednesday afternoon following a deep clean.

The announcement on the hostelry’s official Facebook page brought to an end speculation over the future of the venue.

Concerns started to mount that the village Heron and Brearley inn was going to remain closed, following the lockdown and it was missing from the company’s list of pubs reopening.

The post said: ’We have exciting news. We are delighted to announce that The Colby Glen will open its doors on Wednesday, July 8, at 4pm.

’We’ve been busy behind the scenes deep cleaning the pub and making sure everything’s ready for our reopening!

’We have introduced some additional measures to make sure that your visit is safe, as our customers and team’s safety is our priority.

We’ve missed you all and can’t wait to welcome you all back.’
