Former board member John Gaggs was remembered at the monthly meeting of Ramsey Commissioners.
Mr Gaggs, who died at Hospice Isle of Man on February 10, was a commissioner for 12 years, serving on a number of committees including the Northern Swimming Pool Board. He was deputy chairman in 2001/2 and chairman from 2002/3.
Chairman Andrew Cowie expressed sympathy to Mr Gaggs’ wife Carol and other family members at this sad time.
A former press photographer, Mr Gaggs took the iconic photograph of the Rolling Stones at the Fairy Bridge in the 1960s. His father, the late Ross Gaggs, was editor of the Mona’s Herald.
The funeral service will take place at the Crematorium at 2pm on Friday, February 24.
