Bring your little Superheroes to Tynwald Mills this Thursday, April 13, to join in with some Superhero fun.
Thursday kicks off the launch of Carers Wear Capes, Crossroads’ superhero themed campaign to raise awareness of carers in our community and the work the charity does to help them.
The campaign will be opened by Minister for Health and Social Care Kate Beecroft MHK and Chief Minister Howard Quayle MHK and starts at 11.30am.
Tynwald Mills will also host a Superhero Party on Wednesday, April 19, 12pm to 3pm and have kindly donated two £50 vouchers for their toy shop for the best fancy dress and as a treasure hunt prize.
Goody bags will be available at Tynwald Mills for a donation of £1 and, as well as containing a Treasure Hunt entry form, they contain more details about our Superhero Challenge and how to take part and lots of freebies for our budding superheroes.
For every person diagnosed with an illness or disability, for everyone involved in an accident or with an age related frailty there will be someone who has to care. Usually a family member or spouse, sometimes a child and for them caring becomes their whole world.
Crossroads want to let the community know that carers are the unsung heroes of our community.
Cancer, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, autism - the list is endless and for everyone diagnosed with a condition there is usually a family member who steps up to the mark, takes on some of the burden and puts their life on hold to care.
Help us to celebrate the superheroes in our community by joining in with our themed events this year, visit www.crossroadsiom.org for more details or find us on Facebook.
