Volunteer groups, charities and businesses have been making themselves available to anybody who is in need of assistance with various daily tasks like food shopping during the lockdown.
There are also numbers to call for anyone who wants a chat.
The Post Office is offering a doorstop letter collection service. Post workers can collect pre-stamped and addressed items for outside people’s homes if they are already making a delivery there.
Charity Live at Home can be contacted to talk or for assistance with shopping at 0808 1624604.
Age Concern can be contacted on 631740 to arrange for help with technology or to sign up for their ’keep in touch’ calls.
The Salvation Army can be contacted on 627742 and are providing support for the vulnerable, offering online worship, referrals for practical assistance and telephone calls.
www.helpout.im is a central website for community support and assistance across the island.
Robinsons has a homecare box scheme - available for delivery to vulnerable categories, self isolation, NHS and emergency workers. Order online or call 690000 from 9am to 4pm.
The Living Hope church has community support volunteers to help with shopping, posting mail, collecting prescriptions, and to arrange daily check-in or prayer calls.

In Douglas, G4S has volunteered a vehicle to deliver items for the over-70s and most vulnerable in the community.
The service is contactless and dropped off at your front door. Contact 333762. Orders should be placed between 9am and 3pm for delivery the following day.
Spar Anagh Coar and Governor’s Hill is delivering essential items to customers in self-isolation - phone 624848 for Anagh Coar, 613177 for Governor’s Hill.
Ballakermeen Stores have deliveries for newspapers, magazines, groceries, coal etc. Phone 629241.

In Onchan, Corkills Garage, prioritising the vulnerable, will be delivering Monday to Saturday.
The garage will upload photos of its stock on Facebook at regular intervals, and orders can be placed via private message (preferred), email at [email protected] or by phone on 675885.
The garage is also working with Karsons Pharmacy to deliver prescriptions and over the counter medication, and people can place orders to them for the garage to then pick them up and pack them together.
In Marown, Alison from Marown Commissioners can be contacted on 495142 for assistance with shopping or anything else that needs picking up.
In Garff, the Laxey Lifeline on 474747 will provide assistance such as calls to people in isolation, or to arrange for shopping on 861 413 or [email protected]
