The Joanna Simpson Foundation is holding a conference in the Broadway Cinema at the Villa Marina on Wednesday, October 4.
The foundation was set up in memory of Joanna Simpson, who was killed by her estranged husband in 2010.
Joanna was brought up and educated on the island, and is a mother of two children who both live on the island.
This conference has been organised to raise awareness of the impact on children from the death of a parent and to support to the Isle of Man agencies and members of the public.
The guest speakers are Diana Barran, the chief executive officer of SafeLives, a national charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse and Sacha Richardson, the director of family services with Winston’s Wish, the largest childhood bereavement charity.
If you are interested in attending this conference, contact Diana Parkes by phoning 494865.
Admission is free but numbers are limited.
