A husband and wife team who have visited every train station in mainland Britain have praised the island in a series of videos on their YouTube channel.
Geoff Marshall and Vicki Pipe from South London have gained a YouTube and Twitter following with people keen to follow their adventures, which now include the island.
The duo spent three days in the island in July and found the time for trips on the steam railway, Manx Electric Railway, Snaefell Mountain Railway, Groudle Glen Railway and the Great Laxey Mines Railway.
Vicki also took in Castle Rushen and the Laxey Wheel and she provided their viewers with a brief history of the attractions.
Since being uploaded to their YouTube channel, the videos of the island have been seen by more than 28,000 people.
The first episode - which focussed on the steam railway - has more than 38,000 views.
Commenting on the steam trains, Geoff said: ’I was surprised they were compartment trains, I haven’t been on a compartment train in so many years.’
They also had a trip to Peel to visit the castle.
In the second episode, Vicki helped turn around the MER tram at Ramsey to prepare it for its return trip.
And in the final episode, the couple went on the Great Laxey Mines Railway and the Groudle Glen Railway where they met volunteers who let Vicki ride on the footplate of one of the engines.
Speaking at the end of their videos, they told their viewers to ’come to the Isle of Man’ and experience all the heritage lines on offer.
Geoff added: ’Come to the island, fly over or get the boat from Liverpool or Heysham, get the one a day train to Heysham and get the Steam Packet ferry over.
Vicki added: ’It is incredible’.
