An uninsured motorist who hit a wing mirror and failed to report it has been fined £950.

Ella Hurt, of Main Road, Kirk Michael, was driving a Saab 9-3 Vector Sport on January 27.

The complainant was driving a Honda Civic and arrived at Battery Pier in Douglas at 6.30pm.

They said they saw the Saab being driven around in circles.

It then approached at speed and hit the Civic’s wing mirror.

Hurt, whose age wasn’t given in court, said that she didn’t have a licence or insurance.

The Civic driver left, but then returned and said they saw Hurt getting into the back of another car.

Magistrates also ordered £50 prosecution costs and endorsed her licence with seven points.
