A 43-year-old driver has been fined £650 for having no insurance.
Tariro Chihumbunga was stopped by police on the Old Castletown Road on May 3, while driving a Toyota Avensis.
She initially came to police attention after they reported that she was driving slowly.
Chihumbunga initially said she was taking the car for a test drive, then admitted she owned it, but had no insurance.
The court heard that the defendant, who lives at Church Road Marina in Douglas, has no previous convictions.
She was represented in court by duty advocate Paul Glover, who said that Chihumbunga was now fully insured.
Magistrates also endorsed her licence with seven points and ordered £50 prosecution costs.
She will pay at a rate of £50 per month.
