A 41-year-old man has been fined £400 for resisting arrest and being drunk in public.
Ryan Reed was seen walking past police headquarters in his underwear on September 25.
He then threw his socks at the station and raised his middle finger.
A civilian called the police, and they found him fallen over, on nearby grass.
Reed was said to have adopted a fighting stance and struggled as officers arrested him.
Defence advocate Lawrie Gelling said her client had mental health issues, had been drinking on the day, and it had been the anniversary of a bereavement.
Reed, of Victoria Road, Douglas, must also pay £125 prosecution costs and will pay at a rate of £5 per week, deducted from benefits.
