A Douglas man has been fined £75 for being drunk in public.
Twenty-three-year-old Joshua Gilardoni was also ordered to pay £125 prosecution costs.
Police were called by a civilian on July 7, at 1.47am, after the defendant was seen in the sea on Douglas Promenade.
Officers arrived and spoke to Gilardoni, who they described as unsteady on his feet, slurring his words, and smelling of alcohol.
Paramedics initially dealt with him but he then got out of the ambulance and refused further treatment.
Police arrested Gilardoni after concerns for his welfare.
Another charge, of provoking behaviour on May 28, was withdrawn by the prosecution.
