The drug dealing activity of a Douglas man were unearthed after his phone was seized following his arrest for an unrelated matter.

Police officers from the Isle of Man Constabulary downloaded data on the phone belonging to Joshua Stanley Corrin which showed evidence that the 24-year-old had been supplying cocaine.

Corrin, of 43 Westbourne Drive, Douglas appeared before the Court of General Gaol Delivery on Thursday for sentencing after he previously pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of the Class A drug.

The court heard the offence related to activity between January and March 2025, according to the data obtained from his phone.

Corrin was originally charged with possessing criminal property, but the charge has since been dropped.

Sara-Jayne Dodge, prosecuting, told the court that Corrin had been arrested by police on April 4, 2025, in connection with a separate matter.

His mobile phone was seized and examined by police officers from the Isle of Man Constabulary, with messages subsequently downloaded from the device.

Those messages provided evidence of the supply of cocaine to one man with a further onward transition to a second male.

In mitigation, defence advocate Paul Glover, told the court that his client had managed to turn his life around in the last 18 months, since the offences were committed.

Passing sentence, Deemster Graeme Cook highlighted the wider impact of cocaine supply on the Isle of Man.

He told Corrin: ‘The supply of cocaine on this island is becoming a big problem.’

Corrin was sentenced to three years in prison for being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
