A 30-year-old Douglas man has admitted stealing alcohol and being drunk in public.
Daniel Luke Maguire, of Christian Road, appeared in court from custody, after being arrested on a warrant when he failed to turn up to his last court date on August 20.
On July 12, Maguire stole four cans of Budweiser, a two-litre bottle of cider, and two packets of chicken poppers from the Co-op on Woodbourne Road.
On August 13, a civilian called police due to welfare concerns for Maguire, after seeing him drunk on Belmont Hill.
Maguire is already subject to a probation order which has eight months left.
Sentencing was adjourned until October 6, while an update from probation is obtained.
Bail was granted.
