Thirty-three-year-old Stanley Thompson-Carey is accused of stealing two guitars from an address in Maughold on December 3.
A pre-trial review will be held in summary court on August 13.
However, Thompson-Carey, who lives at Brookhill Road, pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm and criminal damage.
Prosecuting advocate Hazel Carroon submitted that the offences were suitable for summary court.
Defence advocate James Peterson asked for sentencing for the admitted offences to be adjourned until after any trial for the denied allegations.
Bail continues with a condition not to contact witnesses, but a curfew has been amended from between the hours of 6pm and 7am to 7pm and 7am.
