A man who poured urine over a prison officer has admitted common assault.
Twenty-year-old Taylor Jake Murphy will be sentenced on September 1 after a probation report has been prepared.
Prosecuting advocate Harry Bellis told the court that the prison officer was on duty on January 7 when she felt liquid being poured over her head, which then ran into her mouth and down her body.
It was said to contain urine, coffee, and stroganoff.
Murphy was offered a voluntary interview but refused to engage.
He was represented in court by advocate David Reynolds, who said that an expert’s report was also being prepared.
No bail application was made and Murphy, of High View Road, Douglas, is remanded in custody.
