A 36-year-old Douglas woman has admitted assaulting a police officer and making off without paying for a taxi.

However, Jessica Marguerita Radcliffe, of Cushag Road, has denied making nuisance calls to emergency services on August 15.

The assault was committed at Noble’s Hospital on May 1, while the taxi-related offence was committed on July 6, after Radcliffe had taken a taxi from Douglas to Derby Road in Peel.

A pre-trial review for the denied allegation has been set for October 6.

Sentencing for the admitted offences will take place after the outcome of any trial.

A fourth charge of threatening behaviour on May 1, was withdrawn by the prosecution.

Radcliffe was represented in court by advocate Helen Lobb.

Bail continues.
