A Douglas woman who breached a Domestic Abuse Protection Notice has been put on probation for six months.

Claire Keig, of Watterson Close, had been issued with the notice on September 2, prohibiting her from contacting a male or going to his address.

However, on September 8, Keig went to police headquarters in relation to another matter, and told officers that she was living at the male’s address.

A probation report said that Keig, 48, had been put up in a hotel for one night, but then had nowhere to go the following day, so she had gone to the man’s address.

The report said that a new address had now been found for her at a Douglas guesthouse.
