A 44-year-old who was banned from driving for five years has won her licence back early.

Rachele Anette Quayle was disqualified on July 16, 2021 for five years.

This came after she’d failed to provide a breath sample at police headquarters.

Appearing before magistrates recently, Quayle applied to have a licence reinstated.

She said that she had completed a drink-driving rehabilitation course.

Regarding the 2021 offence, Quayle, of Edmund Chadwick Grove, Douglas, said that she’d given a roadside sample, and one at police headquarters, but had been unable to provide the required second sample due to being too upset.

Magistrates restored the licence, but she will still have to take a theory test as well as an extended driving test.
