It was a full house at Waterstones as fans of crime fiction gathered for an evening with some best-selling authors.
Some 40 to 50 people turned up for the It’s a Mystery event on Tuesday.
Crime authors Alan Bradley, Marcia Talley, and Kate Charles talked about their work and answered questions from the audience.
They also signed books for their fans.
The event was hosted by Manx Radio’s Bob Harrison, with all proceeds from ticket sales going to Crossroads Young Carers.
Toronto-born Alan Bradley, who now lives in the Isle of Man, is the internationally best-selling author of the Flavia de Luce mystery series.
Kate Charles is an Anglo-American clerical and ecclesiastic crime writer best known for her Book of Psalms series while Ohio-born Marcia Talley is the author of the award-winning Hannah Ives mysteries.
Waterstones bookseller Charlotte Darbyshire said it was a lively question and answer session.
She said: ’Everyone enjoyed it and one of the authors said the questions were thought provoking. It was very entertaining and Bob did a great job as host.’
Mindfulness author Steve Taylor will be signing copies of his latest book The Leap at Waterstones on Wednesday, August 30, between noon and 2pm.
