A cyclist received immediate care at the scene following a road traffic collision in Onchan on Sunday morning.

Police were called to Whitebridge Road at approximately 9.50am on Sunday, August 2, following an incident involving a pedal cycle rider.

The Isle of Man Constabulary said officers were supported at the scene by partner agencies.

The injured cyclist received immediate care, although no further details about their condition have been released.

Whitebridge Road was closed for more than two hours while emergency services dealt with the incident and motorists were asked to use alternative routes.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage as enquiries continue.

Anyone who was in the Whitebridge Road area between 9.30am and 9.50am on Sunday and has not yet spoken to officers is being asked to come forward.

Investigators are particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, saw the cyclist before the incident or has dashcam footage that may assist the investigation.
