Daniel Sydney Andrews, aged 33, of Station Park, Colby, has denied driving under the influence of diazepam.
The offence is alleged to have been committed on April 3.
He was represented in court by advocate Paul Rodgers.
A pre-trial review will be held in summary court on October 12.
Bail continues in the sum of £500.
