Sailing for the Disabled is offering taster sailing sessions on its specially adapted yacht over the next few months.

The charity said that an increase in the number of trained volunteers, following a successful recruitment drive, has enabled them to offer more trips.

Many of the charity’s guests have had no experience of sailing, or been on a yacht before.

The charity said that it may be tried at any age and with virtually any disability, including people in wheelchairs and those with visual and hearing impairment.

Annual membership starts at £10 a year and this enables members to sail as often as they like throughout the whole year.
