Daniel Shane Philip Friel, aged 18, of Heather Crescent, Pulrose, has been charged with two counts of possessing drugs.
The offences are alleged to have been committed on October 21.
Mr Friel did not attend court, but requested an adjournment by contacting the court saying he was currently off-island.
The adjournment was granted until August 31.
