The weather forecast from the Met Office:

This morning will be mostly dry with some sunshine, which will turn increasingly hazy as cloud spreads across the island, bringing outbreaks of persistent and often heavy rain this afternoon. Windy with the west to southwest wind backing to the south and becoming strong to near gale force with a top temperature of 10°C.

The wind will turn to the southwest and ease slightly as the rain becomes lighter and patchier for a time this evening, however heavy rain will return into the early hours of tomorrow morning. Minimum temperature near to 6°C.

Any lingering rain at first on Tuesday will very quickly clear, leaving the rest of the day mostly dry with just a small risk of an isolated shower, as bright and sunny spells break through. Breezy with a fresh to strong west to southwest wind, with temperatures starting around 10 or 11°C, but falling by several degrees into the afternoon.

A mixture of bright or sunny spells and one or two passing showers on Wednesday, which may become more frequent and heavy later in the day and overnight. A strong south-westerly wind with highs of 8°C.
