Children are being urged to enter a competition in which they will be judged on how well they can read passages from the Bible.
Entries for the Cranmer reading competition will close on November 18 and the contest will take place on Saturday, November 23, at St George’s Church, Douglas.
Children in various age groups are required to read a passage from the Book of Common Prayer.
Winners receive prize money and a trophy and all entrants will receive a certificate.
Winners will have the opportunity to represent the island at the national finals in the UK to be held in Worcester in February 2020.
Last year’s Manx winners who went to the finals were presented with awards by Prince Charles at Lambeth palace in London.
Jemina Shepherd of King William’s College came second in the senior class and Amy Bloch of Castle Rushen High School received a finalist’s certificate.
