Emergency services were called out to a tumble dryer fire late this afternoon.
It broke out at a property on Queen's Avenue, Douglas.
The owners of the property had isolated the electrical supply to the dryer before firefighters got there.
Crews then removed the dryer and used a positive pressure fan to clear the smoke.
The fire service reminded people to regularly clean the filters in your tumble dryers and observe the manufacturer’s instructions.
